The Quetzalcoati is a monster from my monster book, The Amazing Book of Monsters. "The ancient Aztecs of Mexico worshipped Quetzalcoati, the feathered serpent. When Spanish conquistadors invaded Mexico in 1519, the Aztecs believed them to be Quetzalcoati's attendants and intially welcomed their attackers as gods.
